Eber N. Bayona began his legal career as an apprentice with the Law Office of Lawrence R. Young, a criminal defense firm. During that time, he handled mostly serious felonies. After second-chairing a couple of murder trials with Mr. Young by his side, he developed a deep desire to become a trial lawyer. He felt that too many people were afraid to put their case before a jury. This helped him to decide to open his own law practice, which emphasized trial work.
Mr. Bayona graduated from Tufts University with an undergraduate degree in International Relations and then went on to obtain his J.D. from Western State University. During law school, he studied abroad in Guanajuato, Mexico, at the Facultad de Derechos de Guanajuato. Although he was born in Ecuador, at the age of five his parents brought him to the United States so that he could start school at Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School. Mr. Bayona says that he knows more about Mexico, where he backpacked for a couple of weeks during a summer, and the Dominican Republic, than he knows about Ecuador.
Mr. Bayona continues to develop his trial skills in the courtroom, at the Gerry Spence trial College in Wyoming, and in life. He has tried many life cases, never lost a civil trial, and has practiced law in seven states, thus far. One of his goals is to practice in every state before he retires.
Mr. Bayona will always fight for his client, using his God given gifts of being charismatic and being a people's person. He uses his abilities to connect with the jury to present to them your case and achieve a desirable result.
