The College of Business Administration (CBA) at California State University, Long Beach engages and innovates in ways that positively impact our communities—within the college, across the university, and throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County region. Our undergraduate and graduate students receive high-quality education in the classroom and add value the minute that they step into their jobs.  CBA plays a significant role in enhancing LA-OC economic vitality while helping our graduates build great careers and secure lifestyles for their families and loved ones.

CSULB faculty members are current in their fields and employ leading-edge pedagogies. The functional, disciplined-base skills developed in the classroom provide an important foundation for future success. CBA continues to renew and invest in faculty, our most precious asset. From 2009 to 2017, 32 new tenure-track faculty members joined the CBA team from prestigious universities such as Carnegie Mellon, Claremont, London School of Economics, University of California Los Angeles, University of Michigan, and University of Southern California.

CBA provides many resources that extend the classroom. The Center for Student Success advises and improves graduation rates while Instructional Technology supports classroom and faculty technology needs. The Ukleja Center for Ethical Leadership and Student Center for Professional Development provide ethical training and soft skills that are not covered in traditional academic programs. CBA provides students with the communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills employers look for in their employees.

At the graduate level, CBA offers MBA degrees in Day, Evening, and Saturday formats to match the needs of working professionals, international students, and others seeking graduate business degrees. In fall 2015, the first cohorts entered our Master of Science in Accountancy and Master of Science in Supply Chain Management programs. Future plans include MS degrees in Finance, Information Systems, and Marketing, as well as a fully online MBA program. Our approach to graduate business education is to provide flexibility, convenience, and high value to those seeking to take their careers to the next level.

Excellence is CSULB ultimate goal. CBA is one of 800 business schools in 53 countries out of 16,000 worldwide accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. CBA has been accredited by AACSB since 1972. For nine consecutive years, Princeton Review lists CBA as one of the nation’s best business schools. CEO Magazine recently ranked our MBA program as 29th in North America. In 2015, NerdWallet ranked CBA 12th in the nation on list of the 100 best business schools for undergraduate education.

Across many dimensions, CBA engages students, alumni, and friends in ways that enhance career success and regional economic vitality. I invite you to connect with us as we prepare future business leaders for California, the nation, and the world.
