Gilbert Valenzuela an engineer at Tesoro Logistics. He plays a key role in the pipeline integrity management program for the entire west coast region, which spans from San Diego to Alaska. He leads asset improvement projects and provides engineering support for route cause analysis studies.

Previously, Gilbert interned with the Quality Assurance department for The Walt Disney Company as a senior engineering assistant.

Gilbert holds a bachelors of science in mechanical engineering from California State University, Long Beach (CSULB). During his time at CSULB, Gilbert was part of the Community scholars program where he served as a mentor to Jordan High School students. He spent a semester abroad at Universidad Carlos III Universidad de Madrid in Madrid, Spain. He was also part of the Corporate Mentoring Program (CMP), a mentee with the Regional Hispanic Chamber of Commence 2014, winner of the 2014 Boeing case study competition, member of Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society and Pi Tau Sigma Mechanical Engineering Society.

During his free time he enjoys to travel and spending time with friends and family.
