A native of Southern California, Andy Perez graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a BA in Public Relations. Andy joined Union Pacific in 2007 after several years as the Senior Public Affairs Manager for ConocoPhillips Refining, Marketing and Transportation Division.

Perez is the Director of Port Affairs and has responsibility for the Ports of Los Angeles, Long Beach and Port of Oakland.  In this role, Perez manages Union Pacific’s relationships with the Ports, multiple agencies, usually governmental, that partner with the railroad to solve communities’ intermodal and transportation needs.  This also includes local, state and federal government relations.

In addition to being the primary point of contact between Union Pacific, the Port Commissions and their executive staffs, Andy is also the local representative to the various Port communities and interest groups that follow the railroads lines of business on the West Coast.  Perez also manages the local Union Pacific Corporate Foundation Grant and Philanthropic Programs.

Perez is an active community member and volunteers his time to serve on the Board of Directors for the Long Beach Boys & Girls Club.  Andy also is appointed to the City of Long Beach Community Development Advisory Commission.
