Throughout this time she also served as program interim assistant director for the fashion department, and continued her education at Cal Poly Pomona through an exclusive program offered in Apparel Manufacturing.

Sonia a Long Beach native started her career in hospitality as a volunteer at the 1984 Summer Olympics at the Long Beach Arena. For over 25 years, Sonia has managed a variety of restaurants in the Long Beach community.

A native of Southern California, Andy Perez graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a BA in Public Relations. Andy joined Union Pacific in 2007 after several years as the Senior Public Affairs Manager for ConocoPhillips Refining, Marketing and Transportation Division.

Brissa Sotelo, M.P.P., believes in the power of community policy – where and how communities can help shape policy as stakeholders. She is especially interested in the ways in which communities influence the operations of private industry – an interest that plays a large role in her job at Tesoro Corporation Los Angeles Refinery.

Jorge Haynes

Jorge B. Haynes is Senior Director of External Relations for the California State University Office of the Chancellor. He is responsible for outreach to all California State University constituent groups and serves as the primary liaison between the Chancellor's Office and underrepresented communities in California and nationally.
